Perform a search on Google for “Best Beaches In America” and you won’t likely have a shortage of results. You’ll get list after list, just like this one, and chances are you’ll see new locations on each one. Many of those lists will likely have some of the same names, though.
At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter because even a “bad” beach is better than a “great” office, right?

Ocean City Beach

This Maryland beach is relatively small at only 10 miles long, but it has one of the best boardwalks in the country and plenty of family-friendly activities to keep you busy all summer long. The best time to visit is between June and August.
Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii
If you’re looking for some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii, look no further than this volcanic crater. It’s a beautiful crescent of sand, and its proximity to Honolulu makes it easy to snorkel all day and enjoy some of the best food on the island by night. This beach is an excellent choice year-round.
St. Augustine Beach
St. Augustine, Florida
St. Augustine is the oldest city in Florida, and just south of the city is a stretch of beach offering excellent surfing, a pier, waterfront park and more. This is an excellent beach choice year-round.
On the opposite side of the state from St. Augustine lies this stunning beach on Pensacola Bay. Pensacola Beach averages 343 sunny days each year, making it an excellent year-round choice.
Hollywood Beach lies between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and has a 2 ½ mile long boardwalk that’s arguably the best in the state. It’s a great choice, year-round.
Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach, Florida
This long stretch of beach on the gulf side of Florida has some of the best seafood restaurants in the state. While it’s a year-round destination, visiting late-fall through winter will be less crowded.
This year-round destination offers sugar-white sand, crystal clear water and amazing sunsets. It’s also a great choice for dolphin watching.
St. Pete Beach

Just south of Clearwater Beach, this year-round choice offers Old Florida entertainment and excellent offshore fishing.
Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
One of the most gorgeous destinations on the island of Maui, this beach offers world-class resorts, miles of white sand and gin-clear water. You can visit year-round.
Siesta Key, Florida
The geological makeup of the and here means that this year-round beach destination will stay cool, even on the hottest summer days. That, combined with the clear, blue waters makes this one of the best beach choices in the country.
