Bloopers You Missed In Your Favorite Movies

Movies have become so advanced that sometimes you truly feel like you have been transported to a different world while watching. However, sometimes that movie magic is somewhat diminished by an accidental blooper or blunder. These bloopers were even missed by the production crew and made their way into the final cut of the film.

Braveheart

Braveheart is a film about a Scottish warrior, played by Mel Gibson, who leads the common people in a rebellion against the King of England. Mel Gibson’s character, William Wallace, is seen wearing a kilt various times throughout the film. The film is set in the 1300’s. The kilt does not fit with the time period, as it was not invented until the 16th century. Despite the costume flaws, the movie still won multiple Oscars.

Saving Private Ryan

Saving Private Ryan was released in 1998. However, it is still considered one of the best war films of all time. Tom Hanks plays the leading role of Captain Miller. Miller and his unit are tasked with finding Private Ryan. Although he is found, Miller is shot in the process. After he is shot, he is seen laying amongst the debris of a war-stricken town, leaning against a motorcycle here. The problem is the motorcycle he is leaning on is a Ural M-63. The Ural M-63 was not released until 18 years after the movie was set.

Django Unchained

Django Unchained is a critically acclaimed film that follows a German bounty hunter and a freed slave as they try to rescue the slave’s wife from an evil plantation owner. Django, played by Jamie Foxx, sports sunglasses throughout the film. However, in the 1850s, people only wore sunglasses if doctors believed they needed them for medical reasons. At the time the movie was set, sunglasses were not a fashion accessory.

Titanic

Rose Dawson is seen early on in the film Titanic struggling with her identity and who people expect to her be. She struggles so much that she even contemplates suicide. Luckily, Jack Dawson, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, finds Rose before she is able to jump. “I remember when I was a kid, me and my father would go ice fishing on Lake Wissota,” he said to her while trying to convince her not to jump. The Titanic sunk in 1912, Lake Wissota was not established until 1917.

The Book Of Eli

In the post-apocalyptic film, The Book of Eli, a man named Eli fights his way across the country in order to protect a book. Eli, played by Denzel Washington, viewers discover, is actually blind. Therefore, the book he is seen reading throughout the film must actually be written in Braille. Braille books are normally much larger than their typed counterparts. Viewers learn the book is the Bible. The Bible in braille is actually multiple volumes long, not just one book.

Back To The Future

Back to the Future follows Marty McFly as he travels back in time to essentially save the world. In the one of the films, he goes back in time to save his own family. He finds himself at his parent’s high school, during a dance, in 1955. Marty creates quite the scene on stage as he jams out on an electric guitar. However, the guitar he is seen playing was not released until 1958.

The Lion King

In 1994, Disney’s The Lion King was the highest grossing film of the year. The movie follows a lion, named Simba, who is in line to become King, on his road of survival, self-discovery, and love. That love revolves mainly around one Lioness, Nala. Her green eyes can see deep into Simba’s soul and see the King he can truly become – or were her eyes blue? The animation team seemed to have some miscommunication as her eyes appeared as different colors throughout the film.

The Mummy

The original 1999 “The Mummy”, with Brendan Fraiser, was a huge hit. Unfortunately, the remake, starring Tom Cruise, did not do so well. The film lost millions. However, the 1999 “The Mummy” did have it flaws. In the scene where the two sides are shooting at each other on the boat, you can clearly see the Americans wearing ear plugs. It is as though the Americans knew there were going to be loud noises.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is the story of a not-so-smart-man, named Forrest, as his experiences life, falling in love, and several historical events. In the film, Forrest receives a letter from a company named ‘Apple’. The letter is dated 1975. Unfortunately, Apple did not use the “garamond” font on their logo until 1984. The “garamond” font, in general, was not even created until 1977.

Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman is a modern day Cinderella story where a prostitute and a wealthy business man fall in love. The prostitute, Vivian Ward, is played by Julia Roberts. There is one scene, in the hotel room, where Vivian is seen eating a croissant. After cutting away and returning back to Vivian, she is seen eating a pancake. Maybe she was very hungry and ate the croissant in less than a second and chose to continue on with a pancake. Unfortunately, we think this was just a production mistake.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

The Harry Potter films are filled with movie magic. Unfortunately, some of that magic dissipated when people caught this blunder in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. In one scene, amongst the Hogwarts students, a cameraman and his camera can clearly be seen amongst Drako Malfoy’s peers. Luckily, these movies are so magical one is able to look past this mistake.

Troy

The 2004 film, Troy, was filled with a star-stellar cast including Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, and Orlando Bloom. The movie depicts the Trojan War and is loosely based on Homers “Illiad”. Achilles is the main character who is played by Brad Pitt. The Trojan War took place in 13 century BC. Therefore, when an airplane flew in the background of Achilles many people were suspicious. Maybe it was aliens? Most likely just a missed blunder.

The Matrix

The Matrix was one of the first films to very successful use CGI and special effects to create alternate realities. However, this wasn’t a mistake with special effects. Although this is a very artistic shot, with a mirror image of Neo and Morpheus in the door knob, if you look close one can see a camera lens along with a black covering. At least they attempted to block the camera. Unfortunately,  it didn’t have the effect creators wanted.

Pirates Of The Caribbean

Captain Jack Sparrow has been brought to life by Johnny Depp over several years. Depp’s quirkiness combined with the sense of humor of Jack Sparrow make the perfect combination. Sparrow is always seen sporting ratty clothes, a hat (when he has it), and a ratty red headscarf. However, the scarf may be made better than most people are led to believe at it is clearly made by Adidas.

Star Wars

The running joke of all Star Wars fans is that storm troopers have terrible aim as they are never able to hit their marks. However, maybe clumsiness should also be added. Here we see 3 storm troopers walking through the hallways of the death star. Unfortunately, one storm trooper is taller than the others and did not see how low the ceiling was. He walked right into it and bumped his head. Luckily, the storm trooper recovered (as gracefully as he could).

Gladiator

Gladiator is the story about an ancient Roman general, Maximus Decimus Meridius, who was betrayed by the son of an emperor and sold into slavery. However, through cunning wits along with bravery and strength, the general was able to fight his way to the top ranking gladiators. Along the way, Maximus had to face several enemies in the arena, including men on chariots. One of the chariots clearly had an unfair advantage as it was being powered by a gas tank.

Dallas Buyers Club

Dallas Buyers Club is about a man named Ron Woodruff (played by Matthew McConaughey), who has been diagnosed with AIDS. He finds out many of those diagnosed do not have access to the medications they need to survive. Woodruff begins smuggling and giving drugs to those who need it. This scene depicts Woodruff in his office. On his wall he displays several things he loves including cars and motorcycles. In the background of this shot is a post of a Lamborghini that was first release in 2011. However, the movie was set in 1985.

Lord Of The Rings & The Hobbit

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have a cult following. The films are centered around “one ring to rule them all” as well as the ring’s owners. As the storyline is continual through both franchises, many characters are the same. Legolas, played by Orland Bloom, is one of those characters. However, his eyes seemed to change between franchises. Is this a work of elfin magic?

Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction shot Quentin Tarantino into directing superstardom as well as helped revamp John Travolta’s career. This still of Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, respectively Vincent Vegas and Jules Winfield, is from arguably one of the most famous scenes on the film. Prior to this still photo, the two were shot at multiple times (every bullet missed). Unfortunately, before the shooting on either side even began, there were already bullet holes seen in the walls. Despite the blunder, the film still won an Oscar.

Spy Kids

Considering Spy Kids was a film targeted towards children, it was actually jam packed with Hollywood stars, such as Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Alexa Vega, Teri Hatcher and Robert Patrick. Unfortunately, one missed blunder made its way into the film. While this woman is sitting in front of her vanity, you can get a quick glimpse of a cameraman in the side mirror.

Deadpool

Deadpool was so perfectly played by Ryan Reynolds. His boyish good looks along with his witty sense of humor made for a great choice. Deadpool, while out fighting crime is seen wearing his black and red suit along with sporting two swords on his back. This still was taken right before Deadpool falls into a dumpster. When he falls into the dumpster he is swordless, only to emerge with two swords on his back. This mixup actually happens several times throughout the film.

The Aviator

The Aviator is a biopic of Howard Hughes during the late 1920s to the mid-1940s. Hughes is excellently portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio. In one scene, set in 1928, Hughes is seen watching a rough cut of one of his films. While watching he calls his secretary and asks for chocolate chip cookies. However, chocolate chip cookies were not invented until 1930. Despite the mistake, the film was still nominated for 11 Oscars.

North By Northwest

North by Northwest is an old Hollywood classic that stars Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. The Hitchcock film certainly has its twists and suspense. Unfortunately, a little boy in the background of one scene ruined some of that suspense. This still is taken right before Cary Grant’s character is shot. The little boy in the background clearly didn’t like the sound the gun made and covered his hears before it went off.

Spiderman

When Peter Parker first discovers his has powers, he begins to experiment with them. In one scene, we watch Parker use his web to grab and move things around his room. In one shot, he ejects his web at a teal lamp and he smashes it into a wall. Due to all the commotion, Aunt May comes and checks on Peter. After convincing her all was fine, he closes the door. But somehow, that lamp he just smashed is back in perfect condition on the shelf.

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is arguably the best Batman movie to ever be released. The combination of Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker is one for the ages. However, despite the amazing actors, the creators somehow forgot to hire a spellchecker (or at least the Gotham Times did). While searching through old articles, one headline clearly misspells the word ‘heist’.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

Jack Sparrow, as described previously, is known for his devilish wit and dry sense of humor. However, he is also never seen without his hat (unless it is taken from him). Apparently someone else also like wearing hats aboard his ship. However, this is clearly a cowboy hat, and this pirate is also wearing a pristine white t-shirt. Clearly this was a crew member who mistakenly was in the shot, and not one of Sparrow’s crew.

The Wizard Of Oz

The Wizard of Oz is a timeless film known amongst all ages. Dorothy and her band of misfits battle through the Wicked Witch’s obstacles on their way to meet the wizard in the Emerald City. Once she lands in Munchkin Land. Dorothy is given the Ruby Slippers by the Glinda the Good Witch. However, she somehow misplaced those shoes after she rescued the scarecrow.

Furious 7

The original The Fast and the Furious film came out in 2001. There have since been 9 sequels or spin-offs of the original film. The Furious 7  was released in 2015. Despite the films being so successful, this one had one big problem. In the photo, you can clearly see a man and a woman narrowly escaping a huge explosion. But somehow, the windows around the explosion did not even crack.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

Throughout both the books and the films, Harry is told how much he looks like his mother, including their eyes. In the book, Harry and his mother, Lily’s, eyes are green. In the film they are blue. However, when this young Lily was casted, casting directors must have forgotten those details. Clearly, the actress’s eyes are brown, while Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, always had blue eyes.

Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing is a story full of love, deceit, dancing, and friendship. Baby and Johnny although begin as almost enemies, they grow to really love each other. In this scene, Johnny is driving the pair back to camp ground. Baby is getting dressed in the backseat and viewers watch as Johnny tries to get a quick peak in the rearview. Maybe he was able to take his eyes off the road because he wasn’t actually going anywhere. The car gearshift is in park.

Grease

Grease, the movie musical, has hit songs that have lasted throughout time. One of those songs is “Beauty School Drop Out.” The song informs Frenchie that she should drop out of beauty school and return back to normal high school. This song takes place in a diner that has just closed for the night. Therefore, before the song begins we see the waitress closing up the restaurant for the night which includes turning off the lights. However, the waitress clearly misses the light switch by several inches and somehow the lights still turn out, setting the stage for the song.

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski stars big time actors such as Jeff Bridges, Sam Elliott, John Goodman, and Julianne Moore. It is a comedic film that centers around a case of mistaken identity. In one scene, The Dude is being thrown into the back of a limo. Later, The Dude is riding in a cab with an Eagles-loving driver. Although they are two compeltely different cars, they somehow have the same license plate.

Jurassic Park

The 1993 film Jurassic Park was the first of many films to give us an insight of what might happen if we recreate dinosaurs. Spoiler, it is never a good idea. The velociraptors are especially dangerous. During the film, a pair of raptors chase the two children, Lex and Tim, in the kitchen. As one of the vicious raptors enters the door, a human hand can be seen steadying the tail. This certainly makes the raptors a little less scary.
