Sending your kids on a space exploration, desert safari, underwater adventure and jungle trek all in the same day may seem like something that’s only possible at a major theme park, but there’s a hotel in Singapore where your kids can do all of that without ever leaving the property.

The Shangri-La Hotel is a five-star property that offers all of these themed adventures for the youngsters in your party, and it just might be the coolest hotel for kids on the planet.

In fact, the Shangri-La Hotel has dedicated its entire ninth floor to nothing but kid-themed suites in a variety of fantasy settings to accommodate families staying with kids. Each suite is around 820 square feet and the decorations all follow a specific theme. In one suite, the kids might sleep under a tent with decorations of African animals surrounding the room. In the underwater suite, the little ones can sleep in a bed shaped like a submarine, and in the treetop suite they’ll get to sleep in a treehouse after climbing up a ladder.

The suites offer some amenities meant to make life easier on parents, too. For example, each suite comes with two bathrooms, one of which has larger sinks for bathing babies, as well as a diaper changing area and extra space for storing supplies. Part of any posh hotel stay is slipping into a warm robe and slippers, and the Shangri-La has them in kids’ sizes, too, so the little ones don’t have to miss out on the fun.

The hotel also offers accessories that are important to families but can be a pain to pack and haul on a vacation. Guests booking the kid-themed suites can have access to strollers, car seats, bath toys, bibs and travel cots.

Room service specializes in kid-friendly menus and the grown-ups will have access to a concierge dedicated to the families in the suites.

The individual suites can accommodate two adults and two children, and multiple suites can be connected to form deluxe suites, which are three-bedroom accommodations. The rooms start at about $488 per night.
